Implementation of Dashboards and Management Reporting

Challenge

The cultural organisations from the first programme, From Ghost to Guest, had access to large amounts of data across multiple platforms, but lacked a clear overview in a complex data landscape.

Data was fragmented and difficult to translate into clear insights, making it challenging to track performance and work systematically with development.

At the same time, they lacked concrete and relevant dashboards and reports to support day-to-day follow-up, prioritisation, and decision-making within their organisations.

Solution

Building on the capability programme, participants continued the work of transforming insights into practical dashboards.

BARC facilitated the process through sparring and methodological support, while participants themselves developed dashboards tailored to their organisations and specific needs.

The work was based on tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Looker Studio, where data was structured and visualised in dashboards that could be used directly in day-to-day operations.

The focus was on:

  • Selecting relevant KPIs and data sources

  • Structuring and connecting data, including from GA4, in a clear setup

  • Building dashboards in Looker Studio with clear and action-oriented visualizations

  • Integrating dashboards as active working tools for follow-up, reporting, and internal dialogue

The dashboards therefore became a natural extension of the strategic work with data - and a practical tool for turning insights into action.

The programme was delivered in partnership with Visit North West Coast and funded by Danish Coastal and Nature Tourism through the Danish Board of Business Development.

Client Testimonial

“The programme has made us better able to communicate insights to colleagues, so that data increasingly becomes a shared foundation for our work. We received excellent training and sparring throughout the process, which made it easier for us to work with tools such as Google Analytics and Looker in practice.”

Lise Arnfeldt Almbjerg, Museum Curator

The Cultural History Museums of Holstebro

“We have now set up consistent UTMs and continued working on the Google Looker report. This allows us to show the curators, based on concrete initiatives, that we can measure traffic and begin to establish a baseline for improvement.”

Linda Beck Nørgaard, Accounting Secretary

Holstebro Art Museum
