International cultural conference in Copenhagen - International Outlook and Community Strategy
Challenge
The cultural sector is increasingly facing competition for audience attention and relevance.
The challenge is to build strong, long-term relationships with audiences - and to translate communities into both commercial and social value.
Solution
BARC developed and programmed Kulturkraft 2026 in collaboration with the Confederation of Danish Industry, with community building as the central theme.
The conference focused on how to work strategically with communities across sectors - sport and culture - united under the ambition: “We are in the business of belonging.”
The conference brought together international and Danish profiles from, among others:
Victoria and Albert Museum (UK)
LEGO (DK)
Royal Ballet and Opera (UK)
Wrexham AFC (UK)
Association for Cultural Enterprises (UK)
Kulturhusene i Danmark
FC St. Pauli (DE)
Athletic Club Bilbao (ES)
With a focus on community building as a business model - where relationships, loyalty, and partnerships drive both revenue and social impact - Kulturkraft 2026 brought together key insights from previous years and positioned the conference as a platform for strategic work with communities.
