Challenge
Esbjerg Art Museum had significant potential to strengthen its relevance, visibility, and visitor numbers.
The challenge was to translate this potential into concrete partnerships with the business sector - and to develop a strategic approach for how collaborations can contribute to audiences, positioning, and revenue.
Solution
BARC conducted a development programme focused on building a systematic and strategic approach to partnerships.
Through workshops, the museum’s narrative themes, target audiences, and partnership potential were identified, and concrete ideas for collaborations were developed.
The programme resulted in:
A prioritisation of relevant partners and collaboration opportunities
A concrete model for outreach and development of partnerships
A strategic foundation for establishing a business club
At the same time, concrete initiatives were developed that connect art and business - strengthening the museum’s role as an active contributor to the city’s development.
