Challenge


EuroSkills is Europe’s largest competition for young skilled professionals, bringing together participants, educators, and companies from across Europe with a focus on vocational education and future skills. In 2025, Denmark was the host country, and the event was held in Herning.


In this context, the organisers wanted to create a dedicated space for teachers, educators, and guidance counsellors that could bring together professional perspectives on wellbeing, practice-based learning, and collaboration between education and industry.


The challenge was to develop a relevant programme and engage a broad range of stakeholders - while ensuring strong alignment between content, audience, and the overall event experience.

Solution


BARC developed and delivered The Teachers’ Lounge, a space for dialogue, knowledge sharing, talks, and networking at EuroSkills Herning 2025, in close collaboration with EuroSkills and Forstå.


BARC held overall responsibility for:


  • Programme development and thematic direction for all sessions

  • Engagement and coordination of partners across sectors

  • Project management and production before, during, and after the event


The programme brought together stakeholders from education, business, and civil society - including the Science Museums of Denmark, Boss Ladies, Danish Vocational Schools and Upper Secondary Schools, the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship, the Mary Foundation, the DEA Think Tank, the Agency for Education and Quality, and many more.


With a focus on practical vocational pride, wellbeing, and collaboration between schools and businesses, The Teachers’ Lounge became a hub for new perspectives and relationships.


The result was a curated and well-functioning format that strengthened EuroSkills as a platform for dialogue on the future of education - and created a tangible space for professional inspiration, networking, and development.
