About this event

Donations constitute a significant income stream for many cultural institutions but most Scandinavian organizations do not take advantage of the opportunities donations can drive as part of a philanthropy strategy. In this webinar we will look into how lower level individual giving can be integrated with the user journey and how you can work with tools such as the donations pyramid, data, research and insight to increase your organizational awareness of the value of this income stream and focus your fund-raising on the potential of maximising regular, mid-value and major gifts.

Sadie McKinlay is Head of Development at National Museums Scotland. At National Museums Scotland there are income streams from onsite donations, annual appeals, membership schemes and mid-value giving as well as a major gifts programme that supports conservation, research, acquisitions and care of the national collection. Previously she has worked at cultural organisations including the Edinburgh International Festival, the Edinburgh International Book Festival and Edinburgh’s Lyceum Theatre. On this webinar, Sadie will be sharing her perspectives on the donor pyramid as a development tool for mapping philanthropic giving and her experience from working with different types of cultural institutions over the years.

Free for members of BARC Scandinavia's member network.

NB: The webinar is being recorded and recordings will later be made available online for BARC's members.
