About this event

In this webinar, we meet Wellcome Collection, which has received international recognition for its strategic work with accessibility and inclusion. The institution works systematically with physical, sensory, and social accessibility across exhibitions and visitor experiences, as well as front-of-house staff, programmes, and organisational culture.

In 2024, Wellcome Collection welcomed the highest proportion of disabled visitors among major UK museums and galleries and in 2025, and won the inaugural Visitor Accessibility Award at the Museum and Heritage awards.  This reflects years of putting accessibility at the heart of their work and removing barriers to engagement.

The session will focus on Wellcome Collection’s varied approaches to embedding inclusivity and accessibility across its wide-ranging program, with a focus on developing and delivering unrivalled experiences for visitors.

Speaker: Colum Gaskell, Head of Visitor Experience & Engagement hos Wellcome Collection.

Originally from Liverpool, Colum now lives and works in London. He currently works for Wellcome…
