Terms of membership
for BARC Scandinavias network
Enrollment
-
Organisations, institutions and companies that are part of, or have an association with, the cultural sector can join BARC Scandinavia's member network at any time. This is done by writing an email to kontakt@barcscandianvia.com.
-
Upon entry, payment is made for the remaining calendar year, proportionally to the current quarter. That is if you register in January-March, you pay for a whole year, if you register in April-June, you pay for ¾ of the year, etc.
-
An organisation, institution or company is considered a member from the earliest of the following days: a) the day the invoice is paid, or b) the day the organization first makes use of a membership offer (e.g. a discount, invitation, participation or the like). If the organization makes use of a membership offer before the membership has been invoiced and/or paid, the membership is considered activated and the member undertakes to pay the relevant membership fee.
Membership and content
-
The membership packages (membership levels) in force at all times as well as the content of the individual packages can be found on BARC Scandinavia's website. BARC Scandinavia is entitled, without notice, to change the contents of the various membership packages. If the content of one or more membership packages changes (elements are removed, changed or added), BARC Scandinavia communicates this to the members via the contact person(s) most recently communicated with regarding the membership, e.g. the person who made the registration.
-
The contents of the membership packages are only offers, and it is the member's own responsibility to make use of them as he wishes. None of the elements in the packages can be exchanged for discounts or benefits other than those mentioned.
-
If a membership package is phased out, the members with this membership level will remain members at this membership package's price for the rest of the year, after which BARC Scandinavia will contact the member with a view to clarifying the future membership level.
-
BARC Scandinavia is entitled to requisition the member's logo and use this and the member's name in a marketing context, e.g. on the website and in the newsletter.
Invoicing and payment
-
When registering, the member informs BARC Scandinavia how invoicing is preferred (invoice via email or EAN invoicing) and which information must be used in connection with invoicing. BARC Scandinavia then issues an invoice which is paid within 8 days. All membership prices stated on BARC Scandinavia's website as well as in mail correspondence and by telephone are subject to 25% VAT.
-
In case of late payment, BARC Scandinavia reserves the right to impose fees and interest, cf. the original invoice.
-
After registration and payment of the first invoice, the member will be invoiced annually in January for the current calendar year.
-
Membership fees paid are not refunded, unless there is an error in the invoicing.
-
Payment of the invoice is tantamount to acceptance of these terms.
Cessation
-
Notification of BARC Scandinavia's network must be made in writing via email by the end of a calendar year.
